Some examples of the Fabric Cupcakes.
We ran a similar event earlier this year and it was extremely popular! Even little boys got involved. The craft packs we have made have everything inside you need to make one of these (minus needle and thread and glue) and we hope people will buy one to take home or give as a gift.
Our LARGE Knitting Nancy - usually these are hand sized ones or made from an old wooden bobbin and a few nails. Sometimes it is called 'french knitting' ? We made ours big so we can use fabric strips as 'yarn' and then weave it together to make one long massive cord...it should look cool! We have normal hand held versions of these that our woodworking team made to sell as well. (no photos of these yet)
A few fabric balls...
The nice bernina sewing machine at KS&W...it made me miss my sewing machine in the states :(
Me hard at work - you sew the fabric into tubes and then you can cut it into strips much more quickly.
I will post photos of our stall and the kiddies hard at work next Saturday!

week 32 - Fabric Cupcakes and Knitting Nancy's
I have been working towards a small fundraising event that we are holding at Saltaire Festival next weekend on behalf of KS&W. We have a stall of free children's activities (enter the Fabric Cupcakes & a huge Knitting Nancy) and along side these we will be selling 'Craft packs' for £1 in an effort to raise a bit of money for KS&W (and use up the oodles of fabric that we had donated to use this year!)
