week 49 - Christmas gifts & cards!

I had fun this week making some of my own christmas cards with some fancy stamps and metallic ink... the stamps were quarter-circle shaped, and invited to be tesselated or reproduced in the round. It was fun! Look for one in a mailbox near you!

And a few more things came out of the kiln...a pretty Christmas ornament with a bit a of a tricolour braid (plait). She will look so nice on my tree!

Also my kitchen windowsill herb planters emerged - this is the one I made for my kitchen!

And the one I made as a gift...it came out really well, the colours are just right I think! I can't wait to see it in-situ!

And lastly, some ceramic napkin rings. I saw someone else at the studio making these, so I thought I had to do some for myself... I have chosen a nice dark blue glaze which should look really great in my dining room!

Hopefully they are fired before Christmas, I have a few things waiting to be fired.
If these work well, maybe I will be making these as Xmas presents for next year??
they were quick and fun to do, and it would be easy to use lots of textured patters on them, these ones have a burlap/hessian texture!
